Mid-American Courtworks is a complete tennis court and multi-sport construction company specializing in post-tension concrete construction based out of Kansas. We also design and install backyard game courts with acrylic or plastic tile flooring for basketball and other activities. Mid-American Courtworks has built some of the best tennis courts and facilities in the mid-west and south central region. Based out of Wichita, Kansas we service primarily Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas and Iowa. The owner Darrel Snyder has over 25 years experience as a specialty sports contractor and specializes in post-tension court construction. He is a Certified Tennis Court Builder. Mid-American Courtworks is a member of the American Sports Builders Association and has received national attention from the ASBA when it comes to excellence in tennis court construction for building outstanding tennis facilities that excel beyond the standard of excellence.
Prior to owning Mid-American Courtworks Darrel Snyder was a tennis instructor for many years. The love of tennis runs in his family. His brother Dave Snyder was the head tennis coach at Texas University for many years in was inducted into the Intercollegiate Association Hall of Fame in 2001. His daughter Tara Snyder was a professional tennis player ranked as high as 32 in the world. She won the Junior US Open in 1995. She has played in all four major grand slams - US Open, Wimbledon, French Open and the Australian Open. She achieved big wins over Maria Sharapova, Martina Hingis and others.
